SLMN‘s (sol-o-mon) family didn’t want him to pursue music but he did it anyways. The son of Sudanese parents, he used music to communicate with the world, as his true self.
Music was the cornerstone to his upbringing in Hamilton, Ontario. He spent years learning to play the tenor saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, guitar, piano and drums. Finding a passion for the drums in particular, it led to him to discovering FL studio and the language of music production.
SLMN’s multi-instrumental approach to production helped him rise out of the talent rich Toronto music scene with a distinct mood-altering melodic sound that speaks to fans on an international stage.
He released his debut single ‘Too Much Time’ ft. Emerson & Luu Breeze in Oct. 2016 which quickly caught fire on high performing playlists on both Spotify and Apple Music.
SLMN has since been collaborating with r&b and hip-hop’s top charting artists like Mariah Carey, Gnar, Lil Yachty, and Tory Lanez.
